The Pleasure

 

It is my pleasure,

the pleasure

 

I give to the chooks

as I toss the scraps

 

and watch the scrapes

and scraps erupt

 

between them as

with clucks and pecks

 

and quick scratchings

and wild flappings

 

they wolf down

without snivelling

 

the sops from our tea.
